CORN COB JELLY
Adapted from 1800's book
12 red cobs (field corn only)
3 pints water
1 pkg sure jel
3 cups sugar
Boil cobs 30 minutes; strain. Get 3 cups liquid (if not enough add water to make 3 cups).
Add sure jel and sugar. Boil 3-5 minutes till jelly stage on thermometer.
Pour into sterilized jars. Cool, then seal. Store in refrigerator.
For flavor some add small box of red jello.
