Recipe: Creamy Banana Pudding Dessert (1980's)

CREAMY BANANA PUDDING DESSERT

1 (14 ounce) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 1/2 cups cold water
1 (4-serving size) package Jell-o instant pudding, vanilla flavor
2 cups (1 pint) heavy (whipping) cream, whipped
36 Nilla vanilla wafers
3 medium bananas, sliced and dipped in lemon juice
Additional vanilla wafers and banana slices (for garnish)

In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and 1 1/2 cups cold water. Add (dry) pudding mix; beat well. Chill 5 minutes.

Fold in whipped cream. Spoon 1 cup pudding mixture into 2 1/2 quart glass serving bowl or trifle bowl. Top with one-third each of the vanilla wafers, bananas and remaining pudding mixture. Repeat layering twice, ending with pudding mixture. Chill overnight for best results.

Garnish with additional vanilla wafers and bananas.
