Recipe(tried): Crispies
Misc.Crispies.....serves 24
1/2 C. milk (scalded)
2 T. margarine
1/4 C. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 C. water (warm)
2 egg youlks (beatern)
Filling: 1 1/3 C. sugar
1 T. cinnamon
Combine milk, margarine, 1/4 C. sugar and salt. Soften yeast in water and add
to mixture. Add eggs and flour. Beat vigorously. Turn onto floured board and
let rise for 10 minutes.
Make two 8x12 rectangles. Brush with butter and sprinkle with part of the
cinnamon and sugar. Roll up like a jelly roll. Cut 12 slices from each roll and
flatten in the rest of the sugar and cinnamon mixtures until each slices is a
six inch round. Bake at 300 degrees for 18 minutes.
Remove immediately from baking sheet to cooliing raks. *Good for freezing and
warming in a toaster or microwave.
