Recipe(tried): Crockpot Recipes in a 1 Qt. Slow Cooker - Pepper Steak, Pot Roasted Pork
Main Dishes - Pasta, Sauces Crock Pot Recipes seem to be the fashion, specially when the family is composed of only one member. Rival presents a product known as a crockette which is only 1 Quart. As soon as I saw it, I bought it for my personal use.Here are a few recipes using the small appliance:
PEPPER STEAK
1 onion thinly sliced
1 green pepper thinly sliced
1/2 red pepper thinly sliced
1 1/2 pounds beef roast, sliced against the grain
1 tb Soy Sauce
1 tb Sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp Brown Sugar
2 garlic cloves thinly sliced
Put the vegetables in the crock-ette. Add the meat and the seasonings. Cover and cook 8 to 10 hours. You can add Nestum Cereal (2tbsp)if you want a thick gravy while it cooks.
POT ROASTED PORK
1 1/2 pound pork roast
Salt and Pepper or Adobo
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 small onion sliced
1 bay leaf
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tb wine
pinch of sugar
1/2 cup chopped cilantrillo (chinese parsley)
Trim excess fat from roast. Sprinkle with Adobo or salt and pepper. Rub the crushed garlic. Place the sliced onion in the Crockette, add the already seasoned roast. Add bay leaf,soy sauce, wine, sugar and the cilantrillo. Sprinkle everything with flour, for thickening while it cooks. Cover and cook 8 to 10 hours.
Delicious with mashed potatoes or white rice and a green salad.
