Recipe: Hot Dog Potato Salad (Hellmann's ad, 1970's)

HOT DOG POTATO SALAD

"Have some hot dogs left over from yesterday's barbecue? Toss them into potato salad for a cool summer supper."

FOR THE DRESSING:
1 cup Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
FOR THE SALAD:
2 quarts (about 4 pounds) diced cooked potatoes
1 pound cooked frankfurters, cut into 3/4-inch diagonal slices
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup coarsely shredded carrot
1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped pimiento

Mix together mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, salt and paprika. Toss with remaining ingredients until well mixed. Chill until ready to serve.

Makes 8 servings
