Recipe(tried): Doreen's Delicious Cookies

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
These are wonderfully crunchy, especially if you use real butter. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

DOREEN'S DELICIOUS COOKIES
"These are very light and crunchy cookies. The addition of Rice Krispies is brilliant!"

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) butter, room temperature
1 cup oil
1 egg
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
1 cup Rice Krispies
1 cup quick oats
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

In your stand mixer, cream sugars and butter.

Add oil, egg, cream of tartar, vanilla. Mix well.

Add flour, cereal, oats, baking soda, and salt. Add nuts; mix until evenly distributed. Drop by teaspoons on a cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork.

Bake at 350 F 12-14 minutes. Centers should brown at least slightly.

Freezes well.
