Recipe: Dutch Oven Dump Cobbler (using cake mix and pie filling, campfire recipe)

DUTCH OVEN DUMP COBBLER

1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
1 (2-layer size) spice cake mix
1 (12 ounce) can Dr. Pepper or lemon-lime soda*

Dutch oven size: 12-inch

Spoon pie filling in bottom of Dutch oven, then sprinkle dry cake mix over top. Pour soda over cake mix, trying to completely cover.

Bake at 350 degrees F using 10 coals on bottom and 14 on top. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until cake begins pulling away from sides.

*Do not use diet soda.

Makes 12 servings
