Recipe: Electric Skillet Fudge (using marshmallow cream)

Desserts - Candy, Chocolate
ELECTRIC SKILLET FUDGE

"I have been making this for 35 years or more."

1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow cream
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts
3 to 6 tablespoons peanut butter, optional

Combine sugar, butter, salt and milk in an electric skillet. Set temperature at 280 degrees F. Stir with a wooden spoon until mixture reaches a boil. Start timing when mixture begins to boil and boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Turn off heat. Add chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, vanilla, nuts and peanut butter. Mix well.

Pour into an 8-inch buttered pan. Cool then cut into squares.
