Enchilada Sauce

2 tablespoons shortening
2 tablespoons flour
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce ( or less, for desired
4 tablespoons chili powder ( or more)
1 teaspoon salt ( omit if using canned broth)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin
pinch Mex. oregano
1 can (10-1/2oz) beef broth
1/2 soup can water.

Brown flour in shortening. Add tomato sauce, and the rest of the ingred.. Cook 15 min. at a simmer. Add water if too thick.
