Recipe(tried): Fettuccini Carbonara

Hi Jennifer,

Here is my recipe for Fettucini Carbonara which is absolutely delicious. The classic Roman dish uses Italian bacon called pancetta. Enjoy and Happy Anniversary!!

Fettuccini a la Carbonara

serves 6

1 pkg. 12 oz. fettuccini
1 pkg. 10 oz. frozen green peas
8 oz. ham, cut into strips
6 oz. mushrooms, sliced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 stick butter
1 c. half and half
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 c. grated parmesan

Cook noodles accord. to pkg. dir. Drain and set in large bowl. Prepare peas as pkg. directs and set aside.

Cook ham, mushrooms and garlic in the 2 T. of the butter in a skillet, stir in half and half and eggs and remaining butter, heat til hot and thick. Pour over pasta and toss with the parmesan.
