Recipe(tried): Finding Bottles
Misc.Isn't it fun to find lots of cool bottles? Watch out, it can become addictive. On another note, you can also substitute baby oil or unscented mineral oil for any of the oils I mentioned. Some people specifically avoid this oil since it is not really considered "natural" - it is petroleum based. However, if you read the ingredients on most commercial lotions, it is the main oil used. Another advantage - it will last forever so no worry about your creations going bad. And...it is really easy to find. You can make really pretty bath oils with it because it is totally clear - try adding some dried sprigs of herbs or dried flowers - or superfine polyester glitter (find at your craft store). When shaken, this will give a pretty glitter to the oil. A little messy in the bath, though. Another cool recipe:
Glitter Gel
1/4 c aloe vera gel (Fruit of the Earth brand is nice - Walmart has it)
1 t glycerin (usually by first aid stuff)
1/2 t fine polyester glitter
5 drops fragrance oil
Mix all well. Keep this away from the eye area as it caused my daughter to have an allergic reaction around her eyes. Little girls really love this. You can also get plain hair gel and add glitter to it as well for glittery hair gel.
Enjoy!
