Recipe(tried): Freezing Basil

A great way to have the taste of FRESH basil all winter.

4 cups fresh basil leaves
1 cup olive oil

Put into food processor; whiz. Spoon into ice cube trays; freeze. Put into freezer bags and presto! FRESH TASTING basil all winter and spring.

Pop into vegetable soup.
Melt and toss with fresh pasta.
Use as base for pasta sauce.

Really better than dried - to our way of thinking. fleur.
