HI Ellie,

I've never had any luck freezing basil.

I grow it in my garden every year and I find my best bet is to dry it for winter use.

To make it last longer in the frig in summer, clean/rinse, drain, and trim stems. Spread thin layer of basil across two layers of paper towels then place another layer of paper towels on top. Loosely roll up and place in open plasic bag in frig. Will this technique, basil will last over two weeks or more. Great for cilantro too.
