Freezing Basil

Misc.

Hi Ellie,
I have been freezing my basil with success fo years.I pick the leaves, rinse them in water, dry them a bit in my salad spinner. I then lay them on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet, put them in the freezer, within 1 to 2 hours they are frozen. I then put them in a plastic bag & crush them while they are frozen. When my bag is full I seal it & I have great basil all winter. I do the same with my italian parsley.Good luck!
