Recipe(tried): French Toast Royale (like the Log Cabin, Gatlinburg, TN)
Breakfast and BrunchI too love French Toast Royale from the Log Cabin. I actually plan my vacation so I can go eat there at least once a year. I tried to make something close to it as I too have looked for a recipe with no success.
I make regular French toast.
For the sauce, I mix a jar of caramel topping for ice cream with some softened cream cheese and a little cream. I then carmelize my bananas in the butter and mix it all together.
I use regular maple syrup.
It tastes pretty close but still not exactly like the Log Cabin. I sure would love to have the original recipe. It is my absolute favorite thing to eat in Gatlinburg!!
