My grandfather came from the Polish border from Russia. We make ours just alittle different.
Same dough recipes but the filling is different.
3 large potatoes
1 to 1 1/2 cups cooked rice
3 1/4 cup a dry cottage cheese (I use a brand called Michigan)
salt and pepper to taste
Make perogies. Boil and serve with warm butter.
