Recipe: Cowboy Smile Pancakes (Bisquick recipe, 1970's)
Breakfast and Brunch COWBOY SMILE PANCAKES
"Yippee, a western-style pancake party tor the little folks. And they get to make the smile cakes themselves with an assist from Big Daddy."

1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1 3/4 cups buttermilk
Beat all ingredients with rotary beater until smooth.
Drizzle batter from teaspoon onto hot griddle, forming eyes and mouth. Bake until brown. Pour 1/2 cup batter over face. Bake until bubbles appear. Turn and bake other side until golden brown.
