Recipe(tried): Grape Jelly and Chili Sauce

Appetizers and Snacks
11/30

Dear Lorraine:

I have used this sauce with bagged mini Italian meatballs many times for birthday parties and New Year's Eve. I don't see why you couldn't use it with the little cocktail sausages also.

Cocktail Sauce for Meatballs or Sausages

12 oz. chili sauce
1-1/4 cups grape jelly
1 - 2 Tbsp. lemon juice

Heat all above ingredients in saucepan. Add 1 bag of mini Italian meatballs or a package of mini cocktail sausages and bring to boil. Immediately turn down heat and simmer for 1 hour for meatballs, stirring every so often. I believe you wouldn't have to simmer the cocktail sauages as long-- I would start checking them after half an hour to 45 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to crockpot to keep warm (low heat). These go very quickly.
