Recipe(tried): Here is a repost for Chocolate Mousse

Misc.

Hope it helps...it is from Dec. 11...
My Chocolate Mousse recipe uses raw eggs and I know some people shy away from it these days but I gotta tell you...this is one great chocolate mousse!!! I have made it this way since the early 80's...

Melt 12 oz. semisweet chocolate morsels with 3 Tbs. water.
Beat 4 egg yolks- then add 3/4 cup confectioners sugar. Beat until thick, light-yellow and ribbon like. ( Sort of resembles taffy) Set aside.
Beat 1 1/2 cups heavy cream until stiff with 1 tsp. vanilla. Set aside.
Beat 4 egg whites with a little sugar until stiff peaks form
Beat the first 3 mixtures together- then fold in the egg whites.
Chill 6 hours. Top with whipped cream and toasted almonds.
Serves 8 or so people.
I fill custard size cups with the mixture before chilling so everyone has their own personal mousse...
Enjoy!! This truly is a superb mousse!
