Recipe: Holiday Helper Spice Blend (using cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, anise and orange peel)

HOLIDAY HELPER SPICE BLEND

4 tablespoons cinnamon sugar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon orange peel
1 teaspoon anise seed, ground
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Combine ingredients. (McCormick spices recommended.)

USE SUGGESTIONS:
- Add coarsely ground pepper for Pfeffernuesse cookies, dried candied fruit for stollen, chocolate and /or coffee for gingerbread, nuts and poppy seed for kuchens.
- Use in cocoa and eggnog - about 1/2 teaspoon per cup.
- Sprinkle Holiday Helper Spice Blend over whipped cream; serve over gingerbread or other holiday desserts.
