Recipe: Homemade Non-Stick Coating (re: sticking non stick pan)

Tips and Tricks - Cooking
1. Non stick pans do not usually require oiling. If it is necessary, then only a very light smearing should be used, otherwise the oil on the surface will be absorbed by the dough - major sticking problem.

2. Check with your manufacturer's help-line [check your manual].

3. When using an ordinary baking pan/tin, an useful recipe to have is the homemade version of a commercail product:

Homemade Non-Stick Coating

1 cup Vegetable Oil
1 cup Shortening
1 cup Flour

Mix until smooth with electric mixer. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until needed. Use this to coat pans when baking.
