Recipe: Honey-Lime Marinated Chicken Wings (using sesame oil)
Appetizers and SnacksHONEY-LIME MARINATED CHICKEN WINGS
10 whole fresh chicken wings
1/4 cup chopped green onions
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons lime juice
3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 1/2 teaspoons grated lime peel
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger (or 1 tablespoon minced fresh gingerroot)
2 garlic cloves
Cut off wing tips; discard or save for another use. Cut remaining wings apart at joints to make 2 pieces each.
In a blender container, combine all ingredients except chicken. Process until smooth.
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine marinade and chicken pieces. Seal and refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
WHEN READY TO COOK:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray shallow baking dish with nonstick cooking spray or line with aluminum foil.
Drain chicken, discarding marinade. Place chicken in prepared baking dish.
Bake at 425 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until chicken is a deep golden brown and internal juices run clear. (Or insert instant-read meat thermometer in thickest part of chicken. Temperature should read 180 degrees F.)
