Recipe: How to Can Cherry Juice

I posted a message a few days ago, but I don't know where it went!

You need to add a little water to the cherries, then cook until they are soft. Then strain thru a colander lined with a flour sack towel, or several layers of cheescloth or even a piece of a clean pillowcase, or some muslin. Let it drip. If you squeeze, you will have cloudy juice.

You can buy a fancy juicer pot for the stove for about $60, it is a three piece thing.

But, I gave you the basic home version.

Fill clean, hot quart jars of juice and process for 15 minutes in a water bath canner. You can sweeten to taste before, if you wish.

Or, if you want, just freeze the juice.
