Recipe: How to crack a coconut/Prepare coconut for use

Misc.
Punch holes in ends of coconut. Drain and reserve milk. Bake coconut at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Then crack with hammer. Remove shell. Grate meat using a grater.

baking the coconut for a few minutes loosens the meat from the shell and makes the whole process easier.

good luck!

p.s. i think the frozen coconut is just as good as fresh and loads easier!
