Recipe(tried): How to Freeze Cabbage

Preserving - Other
Some years back a neighbor brought me over about 20 heads of cabbage. I love to can and freeze. I was told that cabbage could not be frozen, but not wanting to lose them, I did a little reading and finally decided to put them up the same way I do my collards or other greens for the freezer. I took off the outer leaves, and the core, and sliced the cabbage as I would for frying. I then put the cabbage in boiling water for approximately three minutes, took it out, and drained it real good. I then bagged it in ziplock bags, and put it in the freezer. It was great. No problems at all.
