Recipe: Fast Pizza Dough (food processor)
Pizza/FocacciaFAST PIZZA DOUGH
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, divided use
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 envelope fast acting yeast
1 1/4 cup hot water
1 tablespoon olive oil
Chopped garlic (to taste)
Sauce, cheese and toppings, as desired
Combine 3/4 cup of flour, salt, sugar, water and olive oil in the food processor and process for 15 seconds.
Add another cup of flour and combine for 15 seconds.
Add a third addition of flour (1 cup) and combine in food processor until it forms a ball. You may need a little more flour at this point if it is too sticky.
Remove from food processor and knead dough until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if necessary. Put dough in lightly oiled bowl. Coat dough with oil. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm area for 15 minutes.
Punch dough down. Roll out dough. (This recipe makes enough dough for two smaller pizzas or one large.) Brush with a mixture of olive oil and chopped garlic. Top with favorite ingredients.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in a preheated 500 degree F oven.
