I lived in New York for many years and have never known how to make authentic New York Deli Potato Salad - this is perfect. The only problem now is that everybody in my family keeps asking me to make this recipe. The brine is the key to this salad. One observation, though. The recipe calls for 1 full cup of vinegar in the ingredients list, but indicates only 1/2 cup of vinegar in the brine section. I made it with 1 full cup of vinegar, and it was perfect. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
