Chocolate Crackles
Originally posted on TKL by Nancy B Ontario Canada

1 package Duncan Hines deluxe devils food cake mix
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tbsp water
1/3 cup Crisco
Confectioner’s sugar

Blend together dry cake mix, eggs water and Crisco with a spoon. The batter will be very stiff if you have to add a very small amount of water to help. Form into 1tsp size balls and roll into confectioner’s sugar (icing sugar) coat well. Place on non stick cookie sheets. Bake at 325 for 13 minutes.

I have been told that you can use any cake mix you would like and that the best is a lemon mix.
