Recipe: Impossibly Easy Cherry-Almond Pie with Brown Sugar Streusel (Bisquick recipe)

IMPOSSIBLY EASY CHERRY-ALMOND PIE

1/2 cup Original Bisquick
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp margarine or butter, softened
1/4 tsp almond extract
1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
Brown Sugar Streusel (recipe follows)
Slivered almonds, toasted, if desired (optional, for garnish)

Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease pie plate 9 x 1 1/4 inches.

Stir together Bisquick, sugar, milk, eggs, butter, and almond extract until blended. Pour into pie plate. Spoon pie filling over top.

Bake 30 minutes. Sprinkle Brown Sugar Streusel over pie filling. Bake about 10 minutes or until streusel is golden brown; cool.

Sprinkle with almonds, if desired.

BROWN SUGAR STREUSEL

1/2 cup Original Bisquick
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp firm margarine or butter

Mix Bisquick, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in margarine, using fork or pastry blender, until mixture is crumbly.

Makes 1 (9-inch) pie
