Recipe(tried): Indian Tacos

Menus

I come from a large family, so we really have to watch our money. A recipe that my mother has handed down to me that you might like to try is indian tacos. I make a basic yeast bread dough, or you can buy dough that is already made, and pull off pieces about as big as a baby's fist, then pat them out into a fairly flat disk, and deep fry. Now I don't even own a deep fryer, so i use a skillet, and fill it about half way with oil, and when they are brown or golden, remove them, and drain on a paper towel. Now you have indian fry bread! Then we take whatever toppings we like on tacos, and pile it on apiece of fry bread. There you have it, indian tacos. For the meat, i brown ground beef, drain, andf add taco seasoning, and put in a baking dish covered with aluminum foil, to keep warm and moist until everyone is ready to eat. Tioppings that I make available are lettuce, tomatoes, refried beans(warmed) sour cream sliced black olives, taco sauce, and cheese(shredded).
