Recipe: Kentucky Pie

Misc.

Here is a recipe, not sure where it came from, and I haven't tried it. I know there are a lot of versions of this, some without Bourbon, some with walnuts instead of pecans. If this doesn't look right, perhaps someone will come up with a better one.

Kentucky Pie

1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
3 lightly beaten eggs
2 Tablespoons Bourbon
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 cup Pecan halves

1 9" unbaked pie shell

Mix together sugar, butter, corn syrup, eggs and Bourbon. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve with whipped cream.
