Recipe: Marlene's Breakfast Casserole (using seasoned croutons) (1970's)

MARLENE'S BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

1 (16 oz.) box seasoned croutons
2 lb. pork sausage, cooked and drained
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 cups milk
8 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. dry mustard

Layer croutons, sausage, cheese and mushrooms twice in a 13x9-inch baking pan; set aside.

Mix undiluted soup, milk, eggs and dry mustard together. Pour over layers in pan. Refrigerate for 24 hours.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour.
