Recipe: Meatball Stew

MEATBALL STEW

1 lb. lean ground beef
1/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
2 T salad oil
4 carrots, scraped and cut into 1-inch pieces
2 potatoes, peeled & quartered
1 lg. onion--sliced
1 can (8oz) green beans
2 cans (8oz. ea.) tomato sauce
1/4 cup water

In a med. bowl combine first 6 ingredients, Mix well, Shape mixture into 16 (?) meatballs.
In a large sauce pan or Dutch oven heat the oil, add meatballs, brown well. pour off excess fat, add remaining ingredients, mix well, Bring mixture to a boil, cover & simmer 30 minutes or until veg. are tender.
