Recipe: Millionaire Cake / Millionaire Icing

Millionaire Cake / Millionaire Icing

1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. Karo
2 sticks butter
2 c. Carnation milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 qt. pecans, chopped

Mix all ingredients together, except milk. Stir well and
bring to a boil. Add milk and bring to soft boil (250 degrees on candy thermometer). Take off heat and add pecans. Put on buttered cookie sheet and smooth out. Refrigerate 12 hours. Remove and cut in small pieces. Return to refrigerator for 12 more hours.

Millionaire Icing: Melt 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 pounds Hershey
bars with about 3/4 square paraffin in double boiler until melted. Take candy from cookie sheet with egg turner and insert toothpick to dip in chocolate mixture. Keep chocolate mixture on burner in double boiler while dipping.
