MOM'S PIE CRUST
2 cups flour
2/3 cup shortening or butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup ice water
Measure flour, salt and shortening into bowl of food processor. Pulse until fine crumb consistency.
Add ice water a little time with processor running until dough forms ball. Should roll around bowl of processor - don't let it roll around more than twice. Too
much mixing makes tough dough.
Remove from processor onto floured board and roll as desired for pan you are using.
*I find it rolls better for me (novice that I am) if I pat out to a saucer size, wrap in plastic wrap and chill bout 20 minutes.
