Recipe(tried): Monday Night Supper - Smothered Sirloin Steak and Gravy
MenusADVERTISEMENT
Hi, everyone! After cooking lunch yesterday, I had leftovers so supper tonight was really easy.
Tonight for supper we had: Smothered Sirloin Steak and Gravy, mashed potatoes, broccoli, onion rolls, sweet tea with lemon, and seedless grapes for dessert.
SMOTHERED SIRLOIN STEAK AND GRAVY
2-3 pieces of sirloin steak, cooked
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 pkg. sliced mushrooms
1 can Progresso French Onion Soup
3-4 T. WONDRA Flour
2-3 tsps. water
Using the microwave, place steak in a microwave-safe casserole dish. Place the bell pepper, onion, garlic, and mushrooms on top. Add the onion soup and cover the casserole dish with plastic wrap. Bake using 50 power for 20 minutes. Remove the dish from the microwave. In a separate bowl, combine WONDRA Flour and water until smooth. Add this mixture to the steak mixture. Cook on 50 power for 10 minutes. Remove the casserole dish from the microwave. Check to make sure that the gravy has thickened. If it hasn't thickened sufficiently, place the casserole dish into the microwave and cook at 5 minute intervals using 50 power until it is thick enough.
Serve the steak with mashed potatoes and gravy.
Easy and delicious!
