Recipe: Oriental Chicken Wings (broiler and crock pot)

ORIENTAL CHICKEN WINGS

32 chicken wings
1 cup chopped red onion
1 cup soy sauce
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup dry cooking sherry
2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
Chopped chives (for garnish)

Cut tips from wings; discard.

Broil chicken wings, about 5 minutes per side. Transfer chicken to slow cooker.

Stir together onion, soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry, ginger and garlic in large bowl. Add to slow cooker; stir to combine.

Cover and cook on Low 5 to 6 hours or on HIGH 2 to 3 hours.

Sprinkle with chives.

Makes 32 appetizers
