Recipe(tried): Pickled Beets

Pickled Beets
These are so good and spicy!

Select small, young beets (about a gallon). Cook until tender. When beets are cooked, dip into cold water and peel off skins.

Make the following syrup:

2 cups sugar
2 cups water
2 cups white vinegar
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground allspice
1 Tbls. ground cinnamon

Pour over beets and boil 10 minutes. Pack into sterilized canning jars and seal.
