Recipe: Pineapple Crunch Cake (using cake mix)

Desserts - Cakes
Barb is a recipe I found on the net (with commentary). We are having a luau for a graduation party so I plan to try one of these soon.

PINEAPPLE CRUNCH CAKE

1 package (1 layer size) yellow cake mix
1 (8 3/4 ounce) can crushed pineapple, well drained
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup chopped pecans
3 tablespoons butter melted

Prepare cake mix as directed. Pour half of the batter into the buttered 8 inch square pan. Spoon the drained pineapple over this. Top with the rest of the batter. Combine the coconut, brown sugar, pecans, and melted butter. Spread over the top of the cake and bake in 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes till done. Serve warm.
