Recipe: Porcupine Meat Balls

Misc.
I saw way down the board a request for these. My recipe is different so I'll share it. My kids always loved these. Rice Meat Balls
1 c. minute rice
1 # good ground beef
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tsp. grated onion
1-2 t. salt
1/8 t. marjoram(don't use more - can be optional)
dash pepper
2 1/2 c. tomato juice
1/2 sugar
Combine minute rice with beef, egg, onion, salt, marjoram, pepper and 1/2 c. tomato juice. Mix lightly. Shape mixture into 18 balls and place in skillet. Add sugar to remaining tomato juice. Pour juice over meat balls in skillet. Bring mixture to boil. Reduce heat, simmer covered 15 minutes, basting occasionally (Can use 2 8oz. cans tomato sauce mixed with 1/2 c. water in place of tomato juice) Sorry about the double post, as I was typing I must have hit something wrong.
