Recipe(tried): Pressure canner for water bath

You can use the pressure canner as a water bath but just sitting the lid on, not tightening it down. I am using mine for that right this minute.
Holds one more jar than the regular water bath, too.

No, sorry, the pumpkin butter is not safe to can even in a pressure canner. Many tests have been done by food safety scientists and they have found botulism in quite a few jars.
The only way pumpkin can be safely canned is in chunks, loosely packed in the jars filled with water.
