Recipe: Pumpkin Raisin Muffins - Josh, here's one from Gourmet 1987...

Pumpkin Raisin Muffins

1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
2/3 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon double-acting baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon salt
granulated sugar for sprinkling the muffins

In a bowl whisk together the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, oil and egg until the mixture is smooth. Stir in the raisins and walnuts. Into the bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, allspice and salt. Stir the batter until it is combined well. Divde batter among 9 well buttered 1/3 cup muffin tins, sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake the muffins in a preheated 375 degree oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean. Turn muffins out onto a rack and let cool. The muffins keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Makes 9 muffins.
