Recipe(tried): Sonny's Real Pit BBQ Mild BBQ Sauce (copycat recipe)

Today I decided to finally put my thinking chef's hat on and try to come up with a copycat for this erroneously discontinued sauce and I'm very pleased with the results. Here's the recipe:

SONNY'S REAL PIT BBQ MILD BBQ SAUCE



3 cups good quality ketchup (not one of the sweet varieties)
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup yellow mustard
1/4 cup dark brown sugar-packed
1 Tablespoon garlic powder

Mixed all ingredients in a heavy sauce pan and whisk together, cooking over medium heat for approximately 20 minutes then reduce heat to low for another 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
