Recipe(tried): Puppy Chow (aka Muddy Buddies) (not for dogs!)

my kids love this one ... Chex mix calls it Muddy Buddies


9 cups chex cereal (or crispix)
1 pkg (6 ounces) semisweet choc chips (1 cup)
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup margarine or butter (not spread or tubs)
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups 10x sugar
M
easure cereal into large bowl. Microwave choc chips, peanut butter and margarine in 1-qt microwavable bowl uncovered on high 1 minute; stir. Mircowave 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal in bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into large zip-lock type bag; add powdered sugar. Seal bag and shake until well coated. Spread onto waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.

Makes 9 cups of snack.
