Recipe(tried): Roast Almond Chicken

Roast Almond Chicken

10 to 12 chicken breast halves
salt and pepper
1 (5-ounce) package slivered or or sliced almonds
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream or mushroom soup
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of celery soup
1/4 cup dry white wine
parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash the chicken breast, romove the skin and pat dry with paper towels. Lightly salt and pepper the pieces and put into a buttered 13x9-inch baking dish. Cover with 2/3 of the almonds.

Combine the mushroom, chicken and celery soups. Mix the soups with the wine and pour over chicken. Sprinkle generously with parmesan cheese and remainder of almonds and bake, covered with foil, at 350 degrees for 2 hours. May be prepared ahead and heated at the last minute.
