Recipe: Roast Chicken in Puff Pastry

Roast Chicken in Puff Pastry

Roast the bird as you normally would.
When done remove from oven.
In the interim remove puff pastry and let sit as per package directions.
After pastry has sat out unfold and drape over chicken, let it sit for a few minutes until it's pliable.
Mold the pastry to fit the contours of the chicken.
Return the bird to the oven and cook until the pastry is a nice golden brown.
This is easy and never fails to impress.
You can also use a cookie cutter to cut out designs in another sheet of pastry and put these on the pastry with which you covered the bird.
