Recipe(tried): Safe way to get rid of Gnats

To safely rid yourself of gnats fill a coffee cup or dish half way with cider vinegar and add a squirt of dishwashing liquid such as Dawn. Place the dish near where the gnats are hanging around. You'll be rid of those gnats within a few days. I keep several dishes fill during the summer in my kitchen, one by the sink, one near the garbage and one near the fruit bowl. I also put one in the bathroom. The gnats that do make it into the house don't stay for long.
