Recipe: Sangria

Makes about 6 (8 oz) servings

1 cup Light Corn Syrup
2 lemons, sliced
1 orange, sliced
1/2 cup brandy
1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 bottle (12 oz) club soda or seltzer, chilled
ice cubes

In large pitcher combine corn syrup, lemon and orange slices and brandy. Let stand 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in wine and lemon juice. Refrigerate. Just before serving, add soda and ice cubes.
