Recipe: Spiced Cranberry Punch

Spiced Cranberry Punch
Makes about 36 (6 oz) servings

2 cups light corn syrup
1/4 cup water
6 cinnamon sticks
2 tablespoons whole cloves
1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
2 quarts cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
1 quart orange juice, chilled
1 can (46 oz) pineapple juice, chilled
2 quarts ginger ale, chilled
1/2 cup lemon juice

In medium saucepan combine corn syrup, water, cinnamon sticks, cloves and allspice. Bring to boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes. Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled; strain to remove spices. Just before serving, combine spiced syrup, fruit juices, ginger ale and lemon juice.
