Recipe(tried): Sausage and Ricotta Topping for Frozen Pizza
Pizza/FocacciaSAUSAGE AND RICOTTA TOPPING FOR FROZEN PIZZA
The amounts of each ingredient depends on how large your pizza is. I buy the Celeste cheese pizzas, individual size, and store in freezer.
For individual size:
1 small tomato, sliced thin
1/3 cup cooked Italian sauge chunks
1/3 cup Ricotta cheese
extra virgin olive oil
additional toppings*
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Unwrap pizza and sprinkle with a bit of olive oil.
Top the pizze with thinly sliced fresh tomato.
Sprinkle sausage bites over top (don't cover the whole top).
Drop teaspoonfuls of ricotta evenly over top.
Drizzle a bit of olive oil on top of all.
Bake at 400 degrees about 10 minutes.
*You could also add other toppings, depending on what you like and how big is your pizza. I sometimes use canned mushrooms, as well.
